Match your bristly tash style and compare notes with the Wall of Moustaches at Blue Moustache Café as this fun themed café with interesting trivia about manly moustaches has a unique visual appeal. Whether you need a quaint after-work place to chill out with a beer or a cool spot for a quick lunch, you can trim this newbie to fit your needs.
Ambience
From historical characters to present day filmstars, this café’s walls are adorned with the best mousers from every era along with handy nuggets of info on how to groom these stashes. The thematic graffiti on the wall at the end of the alley adds a dash of colour and there is a guitar kept against the wall just in case you want to break into an impromptu jam. The lighting with naked bulbs hanging from wires keeps the settings real. Plus, there is a bowling alley that is currently under construction and will open very soon.
Food + Drinks
The menu offers the average café fare, but is well worded and looks creative. The appetisers or Lip Warmers, as they call it, are a mish-mash of typical bar eats like the Lippy Crispy Fried Chicken (Rs 149) and Fish and Chips (Rs 149). For mains, you have a choice of burgers and pastas. We had the Tom Selleck’s Grilled Chicken Burger (Rs 199) that was meaty but could do with more spices, and the Peri Peri Chicken (Rs 149) platter that is probably the kitchen’s best dish.
The range of beverages is standard and reminiscent of a Yorkshire café, so you can wash your food down with a coffee, a mocktail or a beer.
